We seek to establish an holistic centre for the study and practice of socially-engaged spirituality, for the purpose of training and supporting people from all backgrounds to live balanced lives of joyful, skillful and compassionate service... and, through these people, to create a happier, healthier, more peaceful world.

The Earthville Ashram model is an integrated centre for learning, healing, service, and connections, supporting us to transform ourselves and our world. It alchemizes several diverse elements – nonsectarian retreat centre, school, charitable social and environmental programmes, spiritual and healing activities, and more – in one space to create a diverse array of opportunities for participants to explore the richness of possibilities for living healthy and joyful lives of service.

- Empower changemakers who are sensitive, compassionate, effective, healthy, and happy;
- Bring more love and joy and spirit to activism, and more activism to spirituality;
- Contribute meaningfully to the betterment of our local and global community; and
- Advance the global conversation in the field of socially-engaged spirituality.
our timeline
In February 2006, we were invited by representatives of a village near Kalimpong, a Himalayan town in West Bengal, India, to create a centre on a perfect plot of land near their village. We are in the preliminary planning stages now, and hope to have a preliminary plan prepared by August 2006. Stay tuned!
