ADVANCE! RETREAT!

KALIMPONG: Earthville returns to the Himalayas this Summer to partner with local villagers and international supporters to establish a new eco-friendly interfaith retreat centre and sustainable village development project.

The threefold mission of the new centre will be to provide a peaceful environment for spiritual and healing retreats, to facilitate cultural and interfaith exchanges, and to support the local villagers in their endeavors to make their village a model of sustainable development.

The centre will be located in an enchanted remote area near the village of Pedong, just north of Kalimpong and south of the Sikkim border, in the foothills of the Indian state of West Bengal. It will welcome spiritual seekers, students, teachers, and volunteers from all backgrounds, and will provide services on a donation basis.

Earthville founder Mark Ackermoore and Earthville project developer Artyom Ash first visited the land in February of this year, and had a magical and fruitful meeting with the local family that is donating the land and collaborating on the project. Mark is returning this Summer to continue development of the project.
