Earthville Announces the Human Family Peace Project (July 1, 2009)
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, USA: The Earthville Network is pleased to announce that a promising new peacemaking project is rising in the Earthville Umbrellavator: The Human Family Peace Project held its first planning workshop in Turkey in June.
Based in both Istanbul and San Francisco, the Human Family Peace Project is an ongoing program offering retreats and workshops in Turkey, India, and elsewhere that foster social and cultural awareness as a foundation for global harmony. The Project was conceived and organized in 2008 by a team of international volunteers.
The workshop in Istanbul was a great success, attracting a diverse participant group from across the Middle East, Europe, the Indian Subcontinent and the USA, but it was just the first step. The Project plans to host a larger planning conference in South India in January 2010, with an ongoing series of workshops and other events to follow. Stay tuned for more news in the coming year.
