Earthville Founder Mark MooreHi all, and welcome to my little cloud in the Earthville blogosphere, where i get to share stories from the field, from a personal perspective, and occasionally sundry musings on topics (hopefully) of interest to global citizens and the curious extraterrestrials who study them online.

In case we haven't met yet, i'm Mark, and i founded Earthville in 1997 with a little (make that a lot of) help from my friends. In my other life (which thankfully overlaps greatly with this one) i'm also an artist and music producer, which keeps me nourished and helps support my globetrotting volunteer habit. I also appreciate the contemplative life (though probably from afar) and try my humble best to make this joyful work a meditation (and vice versa).

I love hearing from everyone, so please feel free to post comments.

Well, the monsoon was merciless: it was the longest and heaviest in recent memory at nearly fourth months of battering downpours. But it turns out flax is up to the task! ...
