Our common mission is to improve our city and our world by providing an holistic array of educational programs, empowering and transformational experiences, lifestyle-enabling facilities and other resources supporting healthy local, regional and global community, advancing the art and science of compassionate and sustainable urban community renewal.

the strategy

We are cultivating stakeholder-driven public-private partnerships to create and support an evolving, holistic model for education, personal empowerment, sustainable urban community living, conscious commerce and charitable activity. The urban community complex (envisioned in Oakland, California), will serve as a hub for the synergistic integration of learning, working, healing, and living. The complex will offer a warm, welcoming, virtuous, fun and powerfully magnetic multi-purpose environment that will serve as a hub of activity with local and global benefit. It will:

• offer life-changing experiences to all who work, learn, heal, eat, shop, live there, and to the local and global communities;
• catalyze community cohesion, collaboration, learning, and service;
• create dozens of rewarding jobs;
• showcase the most responsible and relevant solutions, products and services;
• attract local and global visitors of all flavors; and
• produce the greatest benefit for those most in need with the least possible waste or harm.

All of its parts will be interwoven to form the hub of a community campus for service and learning — a new-paradigm workplace/school for the local and global good.

• EARTHVILLE SCHOOL: Innovative community school model incorporating proven methods and concepts from our diverse and complementary partners, offering a full range of education and personal transformation courses and workshops for youth and adults

• EARTHVILLE MARKET: A warm and inviting global village bazaar/boutique selling a comprehensive and carefully considered selection of the very “greenest” and most compassionate products, including food, health supplements, clothing, books, music, etc.
• GAIA GALERIA: A forum for the display and sale of local and global works of art
• CREATIONATION MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY CLUSTER: A group of mission-aligned progressive media and technology nonprofits and responsible businesses
• HOUSING: A limited number of residential units and accommodation for guests
• GREEN BUILDING: The physical body of the complex will be an environmentally sensitive building designed to catalyze the flow of community activity and to make the most of innovations in renewable/efficient energy, non-toxic materials, resource conservation, etc.
